Here's the Constitution but plainly put EveryonesHome.org.uk is the homelessness organisation for everyone. There is no membership fees, no 'hive mentality' and no cow-towing to political correctness, linguistic censorship, or existing dogmas about homelessness.

More than a simple campaign for the funding for a homelessness shelter - we want to grow this site into a great resource that is open and free to all to add to and contribute to. Hence the Directory and our "open source" organisational set-up which allows anyone with internet access to :

  • assist in building our list of EVERY homelessness/housing service in the UK. The Directory
  • give Your Story of homelessnes/bad housing and reviews of existing services you have used on our Directory
  • help prepare, refine, write, plan and correspond to get Pledges and funding from meta-charities, government and business so we can actually build this shelter and refine our ideas in the light of more practical experience running a shelter
  • work on the presentation, design and formatting of the message we seek to convey
  • propose new stuff, promote online and offline, and be involved in a purposeful community, whilst also - determining your own level of involvement at all times!

This site was founded because of the experience of Jon finding nothing but utter frustration and hopelessness cause by the 'maze' of advice about homelessness in London, where the simple fact is - in a housing market as crazy as London (and to a lesser extent the UK) you can offer all the advice you like - but if it doesn't lead to accommodation at the end - what's the point?

EveryonesHome is not about hierarchy or agenda beyond the shared goal of ending the need for homelessness in the UK - so consequently there are trustees whom act as volunteers to ensure the site can turn a factual exposition of our problems in housing, into a roadmap for solutions and consensus based change in the present market.

We're always thankful for any useful additions and input to this wiki - so please Be Bold
