Mount Carmel is a registered residential treatment centre for recovering alcoholics. It "provides a therapeutic, non-judgemental environment for people who have experienced serious problems with alcohol and see abstinence as their only way forward. Our treatment philosophy is to encourage ventilation of feelings and emotions, allowing the individual the freedom to explore these at an appropriate level." The project requires complete abstinence from alcohol and drugs - those who relapse are helped to find other accommodation. Mount Carmel also runs a non-residential day programme. Public transport

Streatham Common or Streatham train stations. Tooting Bec and Broadway tubes.
