Referrals via LB Merton. Nomination panel each month, phone for information (10am-6pm Mon-Fri). Those selected for nomination attend information session followed by interview. Applicants selected on the basis of need and suitability. Referral agencies

Staffing and support ^ back to top Support services
2 staff visit at least once a week and offer housing management support. Residents may also visit office for advice, help and assistance with practical issues such as claiming benefits, budgeting and looking for work. Quarterly support plan meetings. Computer centre and training courses available at office, including literacy, numeracy, ECDL. Responsible lead tenant in one of the schemes. Access to move-on

Grenfell Housing Association runs 2 housing projects for young single homeless people. One 7-bed three storey house accommodates young people aged 18-25, often living independently for the first time. Residents have their own bedroom and share a kitchen and bathroom. They are offered low support and after around 2 years usually move to permanent accommodation via a tenancy with LB Merton. The other project comprises 16 bedsits and shared bathroom facilities for young people aged 18-30. A responsible tenant lives in this scheme. Grenfell only accepts referrals via LB Merton - agencies wishing to put forward an applicant should phone LB Merton to discuss. Public transport
