  • Property:FurtherInfo: Safe Start's foyer provides accommodation to 24 young people aged 16-24 with a current or past connection to Barnet (living, working or studying), or who are of Irish descent, who are committed to finding work or training. It provides accommodation in eight 3-bed cluster flats. The foyer has an on-site training centre with a fully equipped IT suite and 3 training rooms. Courses are run by Barnet College and the training facilities are also open to non-residents. The project aims to "give residents a good start so they can find the right training and/or job and move-on to independent living". Residents are given a 6-month tenancy after which it is hoped they will be in a position to move-on.
