[edit] Adding a service to the Directory Pages Structure

Directory Pages are simple to create, the physical location HQ of the service comes first, Directory:EU Region:UK Govt Region:Umrella Service:Service Offered This allows a lack of duplication where a service is cross borough or Eu region. but don't worry about it! Additions will be verified, vetted and extended... not to mention maybe moved... but contributions of a useful nature always most welcome. Click Edit or Discuss at the top of the page.

The Directory Structure works like this....

Directory:EU Region:UK Govt Region:Umrella Service:Service Offered

Doesn't make much sense? Ok - well read on:

The structure of the directory is firstly based on EU Regions like so:

This is because we're going to put in at every stage in this directory Governmental information of whom is "responsible" for such things as people having no home - so therefore we break it down after that into UK governmental regions within the EU regions like so moving to the next regional governmental jurisdictions of Counties (or unitary authorities as they are huggably lesser known as):

Next comes the clever bit - After location by government Jurisdiction comes the Services themselves by Umbrella Organisation then particular service offered by that organisation: like so...

Directory:London:Tower Hamlets:Centrepoint:Housing Support and Development Team

For Example - which you will note - doesn't appear in the Directory:London:Tower Hamlets Listings. Why?

Because according to the current largest source for these records we've basically "borrowed" HomelessLondon .org - This service is availible only in Directory:London:Wandsworth for locally connected people 18-24 recommended by the Homeless Persons Unit. Complicated? Yeah - but we make it simple with this directory...

and easy to alter on the information side - so that eventually the links between every service of referral and temporary accommodation provision is plain to see in graphical/simple link format.

That's why this directory is an Egon Ronay guide if you will, one that has the added value of automatically and precisely translating the facts on the ground, into statistics, those in blue sky thinking can make some use of. Or be smacked upside the head with? Your choice!
